Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a new provision at a two-form entry primary school in Croydon. You will work with children with SEND, providing nurturing support to help them participate and grow.

In partnership with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals, you will adapt activities, monitor progress and reinforce consistent routines to support learning, independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviours in a calm, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
• Ability to adapt approaches to meet individual needs.
• Commitment to inclusive, nurturing practice.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND individually and in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO and external professionals.
• Adapt activities and resources to enable access to learning.
• Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
