Job summary

Long Term Futures is hiring a resilient SEN Teaching Assistant for a dedicated SEN provision in a good-rated mainstream junior school in Rugby (CV22). You will support a small group of 4-5 boys with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs, helping them manage challenging behaviour and develop communication and social skills.

The role requires calm leadership, de-escalation strategies, and close collaboration with the SENCO and teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
• Ability to implement de-escalation strategies
• Strong relationship-building with clear boundaries
• Experience within SEN provision or similar setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of 4-5 pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
• Deliver individualised learning activities adapted to pupils' needs
• Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
• Establish clear boundaries, routines and positive relationships
• Work with SENCO, teachers and inclusion team
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and social interaction
