SENCare Recruitment is seeking a passionate SEN Primary Teacher to join an independent specialist school in Gloucester, supporting children aged 7–16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), SEMH needs and complex trauma.

You will plan and deliver a broad primary curriculum, adapting teaching to individual learning needs and creating a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment, while working with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils’ education and wellbeing.

Formación

• Essential QTS
• Experience across the primary curriculum (KS1/KS2) is needed
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies required
• Excellent communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff required
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children is essential

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Support pupils with ASD, SEMH, complex trauma and additional learning needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs with realistic targets.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources for varying abilities and learning styles.
• Use positive behaviour management and create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adjust approaches as needed.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and therapists to provide holistic support.
