Job summary

Co-op Academy North Manchester is seeking an exceptional SEMH specialist to lead key areas within a new provision and ensure pupils can excel. You will work under the Head of Provision, delivering specialist SEMH support and guiding staff development across the SEMH area.

Our academy values high aspirations for every pupil, and you will contribute to safeguarding, PSHE/SMSC and CEIAG initiatives while modelling the Co-op values in daily practice.

Qualifications

  • SEMH expertise; experience informing approaches for learners with SEMH.
  • Ability to develop and support staff within SEMH provision.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on areas within the SEMH provision under the Head of Provision.
  • Provide specialist SEMH support to all learners.
  • Contribute to the development and upskilling of staff within SEMH.

Job description

Working under the guidance of the Head of Provision you will contribute and lead on areas within the provision, using your extensive knowledge of SEMH to inform your approaches and to ensure that all pupils can both excel and succeed. You will provide specialist SEMH support for all learners, as well as contributing to the development of other staff within the area of SEMH.
