Job summary

EverQuote NI in Belfast is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to join our team bridging Security Engineering and Compliance. You will help streamline vulnerability management and enable Product and Engineering to deliver more secure software.

You will design scalable security data products, tackle security challenges, and advocate best practices. This fast-paced, data-driven environment rewards proactive collaboration and impactful technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Security Analyst, Security Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience with Java, Python, Go, and/or SQL.
• Proficiency with AWS security tools (Security Hub, IAM, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, threat modelling, OWASP Top 10, encryption concepts, and secure development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and trial new security tooling for SDLC, especially in AI space.
• Code solutions in Python/SQL to address engineering challenges in security.
• Advocate and consult with engineers on secure-by-design practices.
