EverQuote NI is seeking a Software Engineer II, Security to join our team and bridge Security Engineering with Compliance to streamline vulnerability management. You will design scalable security solutions and contribute to architecture decisions, helping to deliver value in a secure environment while maintaining performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Security Analyst or Security Engineer or similar role.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with Java, Python, Go and/or SQL; strong Linux skills.
• Experience with AWS security tools and secure SDLC practices.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, threat modelling, OWASP Top 10 and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Identify and trial new security tooling for the SDLC, especially in AI spaces.
• Develop security solutions primarily using Python and SQL and mentor peers.
• Maintain security data products like SBOM, asset inventories, cloud infra, and SIEM.
• Monitor threats, document security events, and coordinate remediation with engineers.
• Collaborate on security assessments and produce reports for teams.
