Job summary

Burns Sheehan is hiring a Senior Security Manager to own security operations, governance and assurance in a growth-focused organisation. The role collaborates with MSP/MSSP partners while retaining internal ownership of controls, incident response, risk and remediation.

Key emphasis on Azure/Microsoft 365 security, secure-by-design, and a broad security remit across technology changes. Hybrid work, London location, with salary £80,000–£100,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Security Manager / Operations role.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft security tooling.
• Experience with MSSP/MSP governance and SLAs.
• Background in security operations, incident response and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day security operations and control effectiveness across endpoints, identities, vulnerabilities and email security.
• Manage MSSP and MSP relationships, ensuring service delivery and remediation.
• Lead incident response from triage to recovery and post-incident review.
• Develop and maintain security risk registers, policies and assurance reporting.
• Deliver scorecards and support audit, compliance and assessments.
• Embed secure-by-design principles across projects and technology changes.
• Define and maintain secure configurations for Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Support DevSecOps initiatives including code scanning and secrets management.
• Manage third-party and vendor security risk and onboarding.
