Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day security operations and control effectiveness across endpoints, identities, vulnerabilities and email security.
• Manage MSSP and MSP relationships, ensuring service delivery and remediation.
• Lead incident response from triage to recovery and post-incident review.
• Develop and maintain security risk registers, policies and assurance reporting.
• Deliver scorecards and support audit, compliance and assessments.
• Embed secure-by-design principles across projects and technology changes.
• Define and maintain secure configurations for Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Support DevSecOps initiatives including code scanning and secrets management.
• Manage third-party and vendor security risk and onboarding.

Senior Security Manager | Microsoft Security, Azure, GRC | £80,000-£100,000 + bonus | Hybrid, London

A leading UK industrial and logistics property business is looking for a Senior Security Manager to take internal ownership of security operations, governance and assurance.

The business operates a large, technology-enabled property platform supporting more than 2,000 customers across the UK. Following significant growth and investment, this newly created role will help mature the security function, strengthen controls and embed security into technology and business change.

This is a broad, hands-on role. You will work closely with MSP and MSSP partners, but retain ownership of security controls, incident response, risk and remediation internally. It will suit someone who enjoys operating across technical security, supplier management, secure-by-design and security governance.

Senior Security Manager | Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day security operations and control effectiveness across endpoint, identity, vulnerability, patching, email and web security.
• Manage the MSSP and MSP, holding partners accountable for service delivery, SLAs and remediation.
• Lead and coordinate incident response, from triage and containment through to recovery and post-incident review.
• Develop and maintain the security risk register, policies, standards and assurance reporting.
• Deliver security scorecards and support audit, compliance and assessment activity.
• Embed secure-by-design principles across projects, platforms and significant technology changes.
• Define and maintain secure configuration baselines across Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Support application security and DevSecOps initiatives, including code scanning, secrets management and dependency checking.
• Manage third-party and vendor security risk, including due diligence and onboarding.
• Support resilience, business continuity and security-awareness activity.

Senior Security Manager | Requirements

• Experience in a Security Manager, Security Operations Manager, Security Engineer or Security Architect role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft security tooling, including Microsoft Defender, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
• Experience managing or working closely with an MSSP / managed security model.
• Background in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and remediation.
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 security controls.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks including CIS Controls, NCSC CAF, NIST and ISO 27001.
• Experience owning risk registers, policy suites, assurance reporting or audit evidence.
• Secure-by-design and DevSecOps awareness, with the ability to work effectively with engineering and architecture teams.
• Broad security experience is more important than deep specialism in one area.
