Job Description:
What you will do:
- Enhance the capabilities of the Operations Security team in managing cybersecurity risks related to cybercrime and information security.
- Evaluate, build, test, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure throughout its lifecycle.
- Analyze and triage security events, ensuring appropriate actions such as further investigations or false positive flagging, including incident response when necessary.
- Manage Infrastructure Security requests, problems, and change tickets through support channels or Jira, including escalations from the business.
- Responsible for the technical delivery, maintenance, and scalability of production security infrastructure, including IDS/NBA, NAC, WAF, content filtering, DLP, and CASB systems.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining security policies, standards, processes, procedures, and technical documentation, ensuring their implementation, maintenance, and compliance.
- Participate in and support compliance management with external regulatory bodies, audits, IT risk assessments, and other stakeholders.

What you will need:
- Understanding of the risks associated with your role and their implications for Metro Bank and stakeholders.
- Experience in IT security infrastructure and engineering.
- Proven experience working with cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, networks, and security systems (security proxies, SASE, WAF, email security gateways, SSO, CASB, DLP, IDS, IPS, NAC).
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and asset management (preferred).
- Strong understanding of application security and related technologies.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 20, ISO27001/2, and industry-standard security best practices.
