Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com in the UK is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, build and operate security solutions for our cloud-native platforms. You will work hands-on with vulnerability scanning, access monitoring and risk assessments across engineering teams.

You’ll automate security processes in code, support CI/CD pipelines shipping dozens of deployments daily, and partner with product and engineering to translate risk into actionable decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and deploying applications or tooling into cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proficiency in at least one of C#, Python, Java, PowerShell or Bash, with a track record of automating security processes.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code practices.
• Comfort operating in Agile, DevOps-driven teams with frequent, continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy security controls and guardrails across cloud-native platforms, including AI security solutions.
• Run password audits, vulnerability scans, and intrusion detection to close gaps.
• Automate security processes as code within CI/CD pipelines to support frequent deployments.
• Conduct risk audits and translate findings into practical recommendations for engineering teams.
• Monitor system access logs and support incident response.
