Job summary

BibliU Ltd. is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to own the security posture of our platform and AI-enabled workloads. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering and security, ensuring security is designed in from the start and tested actively.

You will work with Engineering and our AI practice, supporting SOC 2, GDPR and PCI DSS obligations, and leading secure-by-default patterns across services and data flows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a security engineering or cloud security role with hands-on work.
• Experience operating SOC 2 Type II controls in production.
• Penetration testing across web apps, APIs, and cloud infra.
• Strong AWS security experience including IAM, network segmentation, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS requirements and scoping of cardholder data environments.
• Understanding GDPR in engineering contexts, data minimisation and retention.
• Security architecture and threat modelling across distributed systems.
• Hands-on engineering ability to read code, write scripts, and integrate security into CI/CD.
• Experience securing containerised workloads and IaC (Kubernetes/OpenTofu).
• Ability to influence engineering teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering implementation and continuous improvement of security controls.
• Act as security partner in architecture/design reviews with secure-by-default patterns.
• Design sandboxing/permissions for AI-enabled code and data flows.
• Lead offensive security testing including third‑party engagements as needed.
• Maintain GDPR and PCI DSS posture with data mapping and DPIAs.
• Tune SDLC security tooling: SAST/DAST, dependency scans, IaC policy checks.
• Lead threat modelling for high-risk services and AI features.
• Improve detection/response capabilities: logging, alerts, runbooks, IR involvement.
• Support customer security reviews with evidence-backed responses.
• Raise security baseline across engineering through guidance and enablement.
