Interface Recruitment is seeking a Senior Security Engineering Team Lead to head a Microsoft-focused security engineering function for a major regulated enterprise. You will stay hands-on while mentoring analysts and engineers and act as the technical authority for Microsoft security technologies.

Based in Leeds with home-based setup and quarterly HQ visits, the role offers strong leadership, strategic platform stewardship, and a chance to influence enterprise security roadmaps while delivering

Qualifications

• Security engineering leadership experience in a regulated/enterprise environment.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Defender technologies and security platforms.
• Experience building or improving security detections and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Security Engineers and Security Analysts.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex cyber security incidents.
• Own the configuration, maintenance and optimisation of the Microsoft security platform.
• Drive detection engineering, rule tuning and continuous platform improvement; lead SIEM and SOAR engineering including automation.
• Oversee log ingestion, telemetry quality and detection coverage.
• Support vulnerability management and exposure tooling.
• Work with customers and internal teams on security architecture and platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers and analysts to raise technical capability.
• Contribute to platform roadmaps, governance, documentation and service improvements.
