Full Job Description

Hawksworth is recruiting for a Senior Security Architect for Network & Cloud at a global law firm. You will lead the design and development of the firm’s cloud network security solutions.

The role is ideally based in Belfast but can also be remote with infrequent travel to London or Belfast for meetups or meetings. Flexibility to work within EMEA hours is required.

Salary is competitive and will be discussed on an individual basis.

There are no direct reports for this role at this time, but it is a senior position. You will work within the Cloud Security team, which includes 5 dedicated architects. The role involves collaborating with the overall security solution team, including clients, security architects, MS365 architects, vulnerability architects, and PKI architects. The successful Senior Security Architect will report directly to the Security Engineering Director and work daily with the wider Security Engineering Group.

Required skills & experience:

1. Experience managing enterprise network security solutions, especially with CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) and CNAPP (Cloud Native Application Protection Platform).
2. Skills in Microsoft technologies related to cloud access security: Microsoft Defender (Cloud Apps), Microsoft Entra ID, CNAPP.
3. Secondary skills such as experience with Palo Alto Prisma or Vectra AI are advantageous.
4. 3-5 years of experience in cloud-based network security solutions engineering. Candidates with 3 years of demonstrable experience in enterprise monitoring of network and security solutions in the cloud will also be considered.
5. Background in network security or security engineering is preferred.
6. Ideally, 10 years of overall experience, but candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience will be considered.
7. Zscaler experience is a plus.
8. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
9. Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud security solutions.
10. Strong knowledge of IAM solutions, especially Microsoft Entra ID.
