Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior Security Architect to design and operate security architectures for private cloud environments in a client-facing role. You will lead assessments, architecture reviews, and security strategy aligned with ISO 27001/27002 and NIST standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of NHS and healthcare environments and regulatory requirements.
• Deep understanding of Rackspace infrastructure and architecture and related business impact.
• Broad technical knowledge across IT, operating systems, product development and operations.
• Experience with security design, troubleshooting methodologies, and implementation.
• Specialist knowledge in Cloud Computing concepts and security controls.
• Strong cybersecurity principles and practices in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Dual internal and customer facing role supporting Sovereign Services and NHS/regulated clients.
• Leads requirements gathering, threat modeling, planning and implementation of data and system security controls.
• Advises on security direction and ensures prudent protection of information assets.
• Oversees high‑impact problems requiring cross‑factor analysis and planning.
• Plans communications for successful deployment of security controls.
• Collaborates with security operations to implement corrective actions.
• Develops roadmaps to close gaps between current and target security architectures.
• Guides cyber assessment framework and DSPT toolkit adoption.
• Embeds security policies and standards into IT service methodologies.
• Participates in client calls to discuss security controls and standards.
• Supports product teams on implementing Rackspace security policies and governance.
