Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced Security Architect to design security frameworks, standards, and controls for private cloud environments. In a client‑facing role, you will lead architecture reviews, strategic planning, and secure solution design across multiple platforms.

You will guide the development of secure architectures, evaluate third‑party security solutions, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of NHS and healthcare environments, including security, clinical data protection, and regulatory requirements, translating needs into secure sovereign cloud architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of Rackspace infrastructure, architecture, and business impact of technologies.
• Advanced technical knowledge across IT industry, operating systems, product development processes, and security troubleshooting methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead in requirements gathering, threat modeling, planning, development, and implementation of data and system security controls.
• Design and develop secure solution architectures aligned with enterprise principles.
• Define specifications for new products and services, evaluating third‑party security solutions for compatibility and integration.
• Drive end‑to‑end security designs across interconnected technologies and platforms.
• Integrate security governance and policies into IT service methodologies.
• Collaborate with project teams to address vulnerabilities and define remediation plans.
