Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking an expert to design and govern security frameworks for private cloud solutions. You will drive standards, controls, and risk reduction across client projects, balancing security with service delivery in a hybrid cloud environment.

The role demands deep ISO/NIST knowledge, hands-on governance of security architectures, and collaboration with NHS, government, and regulated industry customers. Hybrid work in Cardiff or London is available.

Qualifications

• Experience designing security frameworks aligned with ISO 27001/27002 and NIST 800-53.
• Experience in client-facing security projects, including NHS, government, and regulated industries.
• Strong leadership of cross-functional teams and clear communication of security strategy.

Responsibilities

• Support Rackspace Sovereign Services with security controls and governance.
• Lead threat modeling, data and system security controls planning and implementation.
• Collaborate on security architecture, standards, and roadmaps across projects and clients.
• Provide guidance on Cyber Assessment Framework and DSPT toolkit.
• Work with project teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure secure SDLC practices.
