Job summary

Enable Resourcing Limited seeks a seasoned Section Engineer to support a major roundabout improvement scheme in Colchester. You will oversee on-site engineering activities, ensure delivery to safety, quality and programme targets, and liaise with design teams to resolve technical issues.

The role requires strong highways experience, proficiency in setting out with Leica or Trimble, and a valid CSCS card. This is a hands-on site position with a long-term outlook and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Section Engineer in civil engineering.
• Highways experience essential.
• Experience delivering infrastructure or highway schemes.
• Proficient in setting out and surveying with Leica/Trimble equipment.
• Good QA processes and documentation.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering activities on site and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Manage setting out and surveying activities.
• Supervise subcontractors and site operations.
• Ensure works comply with specifications and design requirements.
• Produce and review RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and as-built information.
• Resolve technical issues and liaise with design teams as required.
• Support commercial and project teams with progress reporting and programme delivery.
• Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
