Job summary

Hazelcast is seeking a Senior SDET (Java) to join our Software Engineering department in a remote UK-based role. The candidate will test Java-based real-time distributed storage and stream processing platform, develop test strategies, and drive automation within a strong QA focus.

You will collaborate with expert Java developers to deliver high-performance software, participate in code reviews, and contribute to product quality through testing and automation across the CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in a Quality Engineering role.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Java testing frameworks and Java applications.
Experience with Distributed Caching, Compute and Streaming.
Experience with automation frameworks and tools (JUnit).
Experience in non-functional / quality attribute verification.
Performance benchmarking (latency and throughput).
Resilience testing (chaos and fuzzing).
Scalability testing.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks for functional and non-functional testing.
Design and execute performance, load, and stress tests for scalability and high traffic handling.
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for frequent validation of changes.
Monitor test health and optimize test environments and test cases.
Investigate test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
