Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior SDET to design and implement robust automated test solutions for its embedded and connected hardware platforms used in the operating room. You will focus on device software, firmware integrations, and hardware-software interaction, not web or mobile apps.

You will work with electronics, firmware, and systems teams to validate performance, connectivity, and stability under real-world conditions and help raise the quality bar through scalable automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software automation and test development experience (or 2+ with advanced degree).
• Strong proficiency in Python or Java for test automation.
• Hands-on with test management tools and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for device software and hardware-software interaction.
• Collaborate with software engineers to define test scenarios and architectures to ensure quality.
• Develop and execute automated test strategies for embedded, edge, and device-integrated systems (Android AOSP, Linux).
• Create and maintain tests for REST, IPC APIs, WebUI, and OTA updates.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates.
• Document standards and best practices for test and QA engineering.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to validate performance and stability.
• Must commute frequently to London-based office; 3–4 days onsite.
