Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification with a valid NMC or HCPC registration.
• Extensive scrub experience within Orthopaedic, Spinal and/or Neurosurgical theatres.
• Experience supporting complex procedures such as joint replacements, spinal fusion surgery, deformity correction, cranial surgery and other advanced specialist interventions.
• Strong organisational skills to set up and manage complex theatre lists in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality perioperative care for patients undergoing complex orthopaedic, spinal and neurological procedures.
• Safely prepare and manage theatre environments, ensuring equipment and sterile fields are maintained to the highest standards.
• Lead and coordinate theatre lists, supporting the smooth running of operating sessions.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary colleagues to optimise patient outcomes.
• Support a culture of safety, professionalism and shared learning across the theatre team.
