Job summary

GSK is seeking a Principal Scientist AD Business Process Specialist to drive digital transformation across Analytical Development. The role focuses on translating scientific workflows into digital solutions, leading end-to-end use cases, and delivering measurable value through new tools and data workflows.

The position involves collaboration with scientists, process owners and data specialists, with a planned relocation from Stevenage to Ware R&D by early 2029.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in science/engineering with strong analytical background.
• Experience driving digital transformation in pharma development.
• Proven ability to translate complex scientific workflows into digital solutions.
• Strong written and oral communication across diverse stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing change initiatives.
• Knowledge of data governance and digital workflow platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AD leadership to support the digital roadmap across CMC digital transformation programmes.
• Translate workflows and user needs into clearly defined digital use cases and success criteria.
• Lead portfolio of digital use cases end to end from concept to deployment.
• Lead business acceptance testing and pilots with subject matter experts.
• Drive adoption of digital tools through change management, training and comms.
• Build digital/data literacy across AD teams and promote user‑centric design.
• Improve data quality, accessibility and integrity with governance teams.
• Deploy new capabilities with platform/support teams and monitor performance.
