Thomas Deacon Academy is seeking a Senior Science Technician to lead the day-to-day operation of the Science Technician team, ensuring laboratories are safe, well-equipped and prepared to support outstanding practical learning. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create engaging learning experiences that inspire students' curiosity and enable them to thrive.

This permanent, 32.5-hour role (39 weeks, term time plus one week) is based at Thomas Deacon Academy with duties covering

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Science Technician team, ensuring laboratories are safe, well-equipped and prepared to support outstanding practical learning.
• Work closely with teaching staff to create engaging learning experiences that inspire students' curiosity and enable them to thrive.
• Oversee laboratory operations, stock management, purchasing and compliance to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Senior Science Technician

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week)

Working Pattern: Either 8am - 3pm or 9am - 4pm, Mon - Fri

Salary: Pathway 4, £22,953 - £24,505 per annum (FTE £30,515 - £32,578)
