Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician for a large, high-achieving secondary school in Basingstoke, starting September 2026. You will support the delivery of practical Science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Science Department.

You will lead on preparing resources, maintaining equipment, managing stock, and supporting teachers with demonstrations and experiments, while upholding health and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Has previous experience in a Science Technician or laboratory-based role.
  • Strong organizational and technical skills.
  • Good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Passion for supporting high-quality Science education.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on the preparation and organisation of practical Science resources.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours per Week, Term Time Plus Additional Weeks

The Science Department

As Senior Science Technician, you will be responsible for helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department and supporting the delivery of practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
