QAD Redzone is hiring a Backend Engineer to build and maintain the API backend in Scala for frontline manufacturing teams. • 5+ years of relevant professional experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Required languages: Scala (5+ years) and Java

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the QAD Redzone API Backend (Scala) for manufacturing frontline teams.
• Develop and maintain the MCP server to support AI integrations.
• Improve the use of OpenSearch within the backend application.
• Complete delivery work committed during the sprint to achieve business goals.
• Help the business maintain a competitive edge by leveraging the latest Scala and Web technologies.
• Provide subject matter expertise during incidents to resolve customer issues quickly.
• Participate in forums to explore interests outside of the sprint work and contribute ideas to continuously improve the system.
• Commit to the team to help the team and the wider business achieve our goals.
• Write testable and maintainable code.
