Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Senior SCADA Software Engineer to join our marine engineering projects in the UK. You will lead development of SCADA and HMI applications, capture requirements, and integrate with advanced control systems across the full software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in SCADA/HMI, expertise with AVEVA Plant SCADA and Citect, and experience in regulated or safety-critical environments. On-site, security clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SCADA/HMI software development experience.
• Proven AVEVA Plant SCADA or Citect expertise.
• Experience with industrial control systems and safety-critical environments.
• Understanding of software lifecycle, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Capture and manage software and system requirements.
• Develop SCADA and HMI applications using AVEVA Plant SCADA or Citect.
• Integrate software with advanced control systems.
• Support verification, validation and testing activities.
• Produce technical documentation and engineering records.
• Investigate and resolve software issues during development.
• Collaborate with systems, controls and integration engineers.
• Support configuration management and software release activities.
• Ensure compliance with engineering, quality and safety standards.
