Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking a Senior SCADA / Controls Engineer for an urgent 6-month contract on a critical infrastructure project. The role involves developing and supporting a centralized automated control system that manages power generation from multiple sources on site, including generators, BESS, and wind.

You will work closely with an in-house engineering team to deliver reliable, high-consequence control software, with a focus on SCADA/EMS logic, HMI development,

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on SCADA/EMS experience in power generation or critical infrastructure.
• Beckhoff TwinCAT development experience desirable.
• Experience with integrating multiple energy sources (generators, BESS, renewables).
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, IEC 61850, OPC UA).

Responsibilities

• Develop and support SCADA/EMS control logic across generators, BESS and wind.
• Coordinate automatic control across energy sources on a single platform.
• Build and maintain HMI screens, alarms, and data logging.
• Assist with transitions between generation sources and load management.
• Follow Functional Design Specifications and liaise with site teams.
