Job summary

Meridian Space UK Limited is seeking a Principal Satellite Networks Architect to own end-to-end NTN architecture bridging space and ground segments. You will define, model, and deploy complex architectures, lead lab/testbed work, and drive system-level coherence across RF, network, and space domains.

The role requires hands-on deployment across engineering domains, strong communication with senior leadership, and experience with 5G NTN and SDN/NFV in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience architecting and deploying complex system-of-systems architectures across satellite networks, ground segments, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Deep knowledge of the 3GPP ecosystem and specifications, with focus on 5G NTN, NG-RAN, or O-RAN splits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and development of Meridian NTN RAN architecture.
• Own requirements engineering, system specs, traceability, and roadmaps for ground segment RAN.
• Drive RF design, link budgets, and NTN channel models for the ground segment.
