Job summary

Meridian Space UK Limited is seeking an NTN Stack SW Architect to own the embedded software architecture for the 5G Non-Terrestrial Network systems. You will lead platform-level development, drive engineering excellence, and ensure secure, scalable solutions across satellite and ground segments.

The role requires 10+ years in software, with embedded systems experience, and strong skills in C/C++, Linux, and cross-platform development. Leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years software engineering experience, with 5+ years embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++, with Rust or Python as additional languages.
• Embedded Linux, OS internals, and cross-compilation experience.
• Experience with ARM, x86, and DSP; multi-core hardware understanding.
• Familiarity with 3GPP standards and wireless telecom-grade software practices.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, UDP, routing, performance optimization.
• Git, CI/CD, build systems, static analysis, Linux development.
• Strong debugging across hardware and software stacks; leadership in teams.
• Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform-level software for embedded telecom products.
• Lead NTN software stack architecture and ensure secure, scalable solutions.
• Drive architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
• Interface with customers and partners to support integration and roadmap planning.
