Job summary

Meridian Space UK Limited is seeking an RF & NTN Propagation Engineer to own the RF architecture, perform signal propagation analysis, and drive link performance for the Meridian 5G NTN solution. You will oversee RF tasks, assist with ground segment hardware validation, and collaborate across RF, RAN, and systems teams to ensure end-to-end coherence in a fast-paced, space-focused environment.

The role involves lab and testbed leadership, KPI measurements, and hands-on work on ground segment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience with RF system design, link budgets, and NTN channel models involving delay, Doppler, and fading.
• Experience executing beam design and coverage modelling.
• Experience in the design and/or operations of satellite networks, ground segments, and related components.
• Experience in system engineering and architecture specifications across complex multi-disciplinary systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the RF architecture, link performance, and NTN channel modelling for Meridian's NTN solution.
• Oversee RF analysis tasks and ground segment hardware validation.
• Drive RF system design, analysis, and simulation including link budgets and antenna systems.
• Develop NTN channel models with delay, Doppler, and fading characteristics.
• Collaborate with RF, RAN, and systems architects for end-to-end coherence.
• Lead lab/testbed build, automate tests, and measure KPIs across the architecture.
