Job summary

Coventry Building Society seeks a Senior Sanctions Analyst to join the Economic Crime Compliance team. You will support the sanctions risk management framework, provide expert guidance, and help ensure sanctions risks are identified and managed across the organisation.

Working in a 2LoD environment, you will influence business decisions and risk controls, with a hybrid layout requiring at least 1 day per week in Coventry or Manchester offices. Flexible working options are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sanctions advisor in a retail banking or equivalent environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU/UN/OFAC sanctions regimes.
• Experience handling complex sanctions investigations and escalations.
• Ability to provide risk-based advice to senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to sanctions risk management tools and technology.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sanctions Compliance Lead in developing, enhancing and overseeing the sanctions risk management framework.
• Provide expert guidance on sanctions matters and support investigations and escalations.
• Help ensure sanctions risks are identified, assessed and managed across the organisation.
• Collaborate within a 2LoD function and influence risk decisions and controls.
