Job summary

Klarna is seeking a sanctions expert in Compliance to oversee OFAC, EU, UK, and UN regimes across 26 countries. You will interpret changes, embed requirements in policies, and lead risk assessments while collaborating with product and business teams to ensure compliant design and operation of sanctions controls.

You will work with various stakeholders, guiding policy decisions, escalation handling, and remediation actions, with a hands-on approach to ensure timely, validated closure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of OFAC, EU, UK and UN sanctions regimes.
• Experience turning designations into policy and embedding sanctions requirements in product processes.
• Ability to lead risk assessments and advise cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret new designations and regulatory changes and update Group policies.
• Run annual sanctions risk assessments and translate findings into standards or risk appetite.
• Advise product and business teams on policy requirements and screening controls.
• Direct technical teams on tuning, testing and model validation of screening tools.
