Job summary

Vanquis is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and support secure software solutions, APIs and integrations across Salesforce and MuleSoft. You’ll translate requirements into practical designs, apply engineering standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability.

You’ll work in a regulated financial services environment, contributing to continuous improvement and on-call responsibilities while expanding your technical capabilities within a modern technology

Qualifications

• Hands-on software development experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft or equivalent enterprise platform.
• Experience designing or delivering software solutions, APIs or integrations using modern engineering, testing and deployment practices.
• Understanding of APIs, integration concepts, data structures and error handling.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable code following engineering standards.
• Experience with source control, branching, pull requests and code reviews.
• Ability to investigate technical issues using debugging tools, logs, telemetry or monitoring.
• Know-how of secure software development, data protection, access controls and change management.
• Good written and verbal communication, collaborative delivery approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure and maintain secure software solutions, APIs and integrations.
• Translate user stories and architecture guidance into technical designs and tasks.
• Apply engineering standards, testing and deployment practices.
• Investigate defects and operational issues using logs and telemetry.
• Work with product, analysis, architecture, testing and security teams.
• Support controlled releases, readiness and post-implementation review.
• Participate in peer review and engineering communities of practice.
