Job summary

Sage is a global HR & people management SaaS product built on the Salesforce platform. We are hiring a Senior Salesforce Developer in Winnersh (Reading area), UK Hybrid (3 days onsite).

You will design, develop and evolve enterprise-grade Salesforce features, shaping long-term architecture and product decisions. You will work with a product engineering team focused on scalable, secure solutions and strong code quality, while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, ideally within a product, SaaS or ISV environment
• Advanced knowledge of Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, Salesforce Lightning and Lightning Web Components
• Good understanding, and ideally practical experience, of Salesforce solution design and architecture
• Ability to design scalable, secure and maintainable solutions while considering Salesforce platform limits, data model, integrations and performance
• Solid object-oriented programming background, for example in Java or C#, with strong software engineering fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Salesforce product features with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability and performance
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical designs and robust implementation plans
• Contribute actively to Salesforce architecture discussions, design reviews and long-term product decisions
• Apply strong object-oriented design principles, automated testing practices, code quality standards and CI/CD ways of working
• Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance and knowledge sharing
