Job summary

Harte Recruitment is looking for a Senior Sales Negotiator/Valuer to own the deal from instruction through to completion within a small estate agency team in Sheffield. You’ll handle negotiations, viewings and progression while increasing instructions and market share.

Valuation experience is advantageous but not essential. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on role with proactive, client-focused service and the opportunity to boost branch performance.

Qualifications

• Previous estate agency sales experience essential
• Strong end-to-end sales negotiation and progression experience
• Valuation/listing experience advantageous, but not essential
• Commercially minded with the ability to help generate instructions
• Confident managing clients throughout the entire sales journey
• Proactive, personable and relationship-led
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Highly organised with excellent knowledge of your active properties and chains
• Comfortable working independently within a small team
• Driven to deliver a proactive, high-contact client experience

Responsibilities

• Manage residential sales from instruction/listing through to completion
• Conduct and coordinate property viewings
• Negotiate offers and drive transactions forward
• Take ownership of sales progression and chains
• Maintain regular, informed communication with vendors and buyers
• Help generate new instructions and increase available stock
• Conduct valuations and win instructions where experienced to do so
• Build strong relationships within the local market
• Deliver a proactive, high-service client experience
• Contribute to sales conversion, pipeline performance and branch growth

Job description

If you're an experienced Sales Negotiator or Valuer who likes owning your deals from start to finish, rather than handing clients off once an offer is agreed, this is a chance to take on a senior, hands‑on role where you can help grow stock, win business and make a real impact on branch performance.

The Package:

• Up to £30,000 basic salary, depending on experience and remit
• Typically £8,000-£10,000+ commission (uncapped)
• Additional commission opportunity for valuation work
• Monday to Friday, 8:45am-5:30pm
• Alternate Saturdays, 9:00am-2:00pm
• 1 in 3 Saturdays can be discussed for the right candidate

This is a small‑team environment where taking ownership matters. You'll stay close to your clients and properties throughout the journey, handling negotiations, viewings and sales progression while helping increase instructions and market share.

Valuation experience would be a real advantage, but it isn't essential. An experienced Senior Sales Negotiator who can confidently manage transactions from start to completion will absolutely be considered.
