Job description

Our company is seeking an experienced Sales professional to both:

  • Manage and grow a book of business including some of our key clients.
  • Develop new business in the UK and acquire new clients.

This person needs to be knowledgeable about the UK financial industry and have a good understanding of market and client needs.

She/he should be capable of developing and managing relationships with major financial organizations at a decision-making and user level.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an existing book of business and acquire new clients/develop existing relations to exceed the sales target based on net new business.
  • Work closely with other sales professionals, product management/development, Pre-Sales and after-sales consultants, clients, and sales support teams to ensure a world-class product offering for our clients.
  • You will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting using our Salesforce CRM system, as well as managing your pipeline and forecast.
  • Manage contracts for new and renewal business together with other internal stakeholders.
  • Use Morningstar products and IP to advise clients and build solutions that empower client success.
Relevant characteristics include:
  • The individual must be a self-starter/learner and a team player with an inclusive mindset, inspired to work with and inspire others.
  • Hands-on, taking ownership, and remaining in the driver’s seat for all client requests, even when other departments are in charge; you will be the ultimate owner of your book of business and success.
  • Good listener with a consultative selling approach and strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Structured, able to prioritize, and persistent.
  • A proven track record of success in developing key accounts and closing new business in the UK.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach to support other departments in developing client relationships and partnerships.
  • A good command of financial markets and investment products.
  • Transparent and proactive in sharing information.
  • Energetic, creative, flexible, and willing to learn new things.
