Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers in Dundee is seeking a Senior Sales Assistant to work across a variety of shifts with weekend rosters. You’ll handle customer service, stock displays, and payments in a friendly bakery shop.

The role involves supporting pre-orders, tills, and general shop duties while delivering excellent customer care. Flexible hours from Mon to Sun are required, with 25 hours per week and potential extra hours.

Qualifications

• Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go in a supervisory position.
• Great communication skills.
• A positive attitude, we’ll need you to be resilient.
• Cash handling experience / working touch screen tills (we’ll teach you).
• Flexible with your hours, available to work between Monday to Sunday any 5 days from 7.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays in line with our guidelines.
• Deal with customer pre-orders and process payment and paperwork accordingly.
• Take payment for goods using electronic tills and processing by cash and card.
• Stock shelves with products.
• Answer queries from customers.
• Give advice and guidance on products to customers.
• Report discrepancies and problems to the management team.
• Cleaning of shop & facilities.

Senior Sales Assistant, Fintry Road, Dundee, DD4 9EZ

You will be given various shifts - which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on) - between 530am and 5pm any 5 days from 7.

25 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).

£13.20 per hour plus an excellent benefits package (see below).
