Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers in Scotland is seeking a Senior Sales Assistant for the Hillington Shop (G52 4DZ). You’ll work varied shifts between 4:30am and 6:30pm, including weekends, totaling 16 hours per week.

You will prepare and serve customers, set up displays, handle pre-orders and payments, stock shelves, answer queries, and provide product guidance. Previous food retail or supervisory experience is preferred, with strong communication and a positive, resilient attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays in line with our guidelines.
• Deal with customer pre-orders and process payment and paperwork accordingly.
• Take payment for goods using electronic tills and processing by cash and card.
• Stock shelves with products.
• Answer queries from customers.
• Give advice and guidance on products to customers.
• Report discrepancies and problems to the management team.
• Cleaning of shop & facilities.

Senior Sales Assistant, Hillington Shop - G52 4DZ

You will be given various shifts - which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on)- between 430am and 630pm - any 2days from 7.

16 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).

£13.58per hour plus an excellent benefits package (see below).

Your key responsibilities are:

• Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.

Ideally you will have:

• A positive attitude, we’ll need you to be resilient.
• Cash handling experience / working touch screen tills (don’t worry, we’ll teach you).

You will be required to be flexible with your hours, you will need to be available to work between Monday to Sunday any 2days from 7.
