Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers invites applications for a part-time Retail Sales Assistant at CairdShop (DD3 8AS) in Dundee. Shifts vary weekly, include weekends, between 5am and 5pm, with 4 days from 7. This role offers 16 hours per week with potential extra hours.

You will prepare and serve bakery and hot/cold foods, set up displays, handle pre-orders and payments, stock shelves, answer queries, and provide product guidance. Benefits include staff discount and other values-driven perks.

Qualifications

• Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go.
• Great communication skills.
• A positive attitude, we’ll need you be resilient.
• Cash handling experience / working touch screen tills (we’ll teach you)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays in line with our guidelines.
• Deal with customer pre-orders and process payment and paperwork accordingly.
• Take payment for goods using electronic tills and processing by cash and card.
• Stock shelves with products.
• Answer queries from customers.
• Give advice and guidance on products to customers.
• Report discrepancies and problems to the management team.
• Cleaning of shop & facilities.

You will be given various shifts - which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on), between 5am and 5pm - any 4days from 7.

16 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).

Up to £12.93per hour plus an excellent benefits package (see below)*

We use traditional baking methods to produce the finest, freshest, mouthwatering products which we only sell in our own Bakery Shops.

You will be required to be flexible with your hours, you will need to be available to work between Monday to Sunday any 4days from 7.
