Job summary

Jewson in New Malden is seeking a Senior Sales Advisor to deliver exceptional service, build strong customer relationships and contribute to sales growth through upselling and tailored product advice.

You will interact with customers face to face and by phone, understand local market dynamics, and use in-house systems to process orders and manage deliveries, while collaborating with suppliers to improve product knowledge.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of building materials, construction-related products and the merchant industry including local market dynamics and competitor activity.
• Sound awareness of commercial metrics (margin, pricing, conversion rates, sales forecasting, etc.) with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and take action to improve performance.
• We are looking for a team player with a desire to succeed.
• A background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets would be preferable.
• Self motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness to be able to provide great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
• Maximising customer interactions to support achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products.
• Getting to know our suppliers and continuously looking for opportunities to improve product and industry knowledge.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow sales, setting clearobjectivesfor the team and maximising growth through cross selling andleveragingour solutions.
