Job summary

Jewson in Taunton is seeking a Senior Sales Advisor passionate about great service and customer care. You will learn product lines, build strong customer relationships face-to-face and over the phone, and drive sales growth through proactive advice and upselling.

You will use in-house systems to process orders, manage deliveries, and keep customers informed, while developing knowledge of suppliers and market opportunities to support targets.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of building materials and merchant industry.
• Understanding of margins, pricing and sales forecasting to drive performance.
• Team player with a desire to succeed.
• Background in sales with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
• Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Learn product lines and services to maximise customer interactions.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers, offering proactive advice and solutions.
• Know the local market to support sales growth plans.

• Upsell and cross-sell to meet sales and profit targets.
• Get to know suppliers and seek opportunities to improve knowledge.
