Senior Sales Account Manager - Manufacturing Software

Job Description Summary

Customer-facing staff responsible for developing manufacturing software sales opportunities within the assigned area, identifying needs, managing the sales process, and meeting deadlines to reach sales targets.

Impacts the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team. Has significant control/influence over commercial priorities and moderate autonomy to enter into/execute commercial arrangements. High levels of commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Drive key activities, including strategy planning, customer relationship development, discovery assessment, solution definition, and contract negotiation until deal closure.
  2. Work closely with other staff members in GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) to drive growth in software license, service, and support revenue.
  3. Establish a deep understanding of customer needs by creating value through our solutions.
  4. Add value to the customer's business and maintain a value-oriented approach.
  5. Demonstrate benefits of partnering with GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) and how our solutions deliver results.
  6. Develop and drive sustainable commercial relationships aligned with strategic goals.
  7. Grow the sales pipeline and maintain opportunities to achieve sales goals.
  8. Maintain multi-year account plans shared across departments for coordination.
  9. Ensure a professional sales experience with formal meetings, follow-ups, and timely issue resolution.
  10. Formulate winning proposals leveraging industry, customer, and product knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in direct sales, especially in industrial software within manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets.
  • Fluency in English.

Desired Characteristics

  • Fluency in another European language (e.g., German, Spanish, French).
  • Experience selling automation software and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Domain expertise in Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Automotive, or discrete manufacturing.
