Job summary

Allan Webb Ltd is seeking an experienced Safety Assurance Manager to lead safety aspects within a National Armaments Director Group project team in Bristol. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety legislation and MOD regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires a relevant engineering or safety degree, considerable experience in safety management, particularly within aviation or munitions, and a proficient understanding of safety analysis techniques. Regular travel to supplier sites and other MOD establishments is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of Safety Management within NADG/DE&S or MOD environment.
• Experience in developing and maintaining Safety Cases and Safety Management Systems.
• Proficiency in safety analysis techniques (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, FTA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Own the generation of technical safety requirements and documentation.
• Develop and manage an effective Safety Management System.
• Provide safety engineering advice and guidance to decision makers.

Skills

Safety management experience in Aviation or WOME

Safety analysis techniques (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, FTA)

Excellent report writing skills

Excellent communication skills

Education

Relevant engineering or safety degree

Professional safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma)
