Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Safeguarding Adult Practitioner to provide specialist safeguarding guidance to clinical teams across the organisation.

You will work within the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Patient Team to promote Think Family approaches, professional curiosity and compassionate persistence in safeguarding adults, with a focus on Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Qualifications

• Experience providing safeguarding advice and support to clinical teams.
• Sound knowledge of adult safeguarding principles, Mental Capacity and DoLS.
• Ability to work independently and with a wider safeguarding team.

Responsibilities

• Provide accessible specialist advice and support on adult safeguarding.
• Support staff to identify safeguarding concerns and promote person-centred care.
• Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to inform practice and decision-making.
• Contribute to safeguarding education and service improvement.
