Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking a Senior Safeguarding Nurse (MASH) for the Children’s Social Care Front Door in Grimsby. The role focuses on health safeguarding expertise to support statutory decision-making at referrals, analysing complex information and contributing to multi-agency discussions to ensure timely safeguarding responses for children aged 0–18.

The post requires NHS/NMC registration, extensive safeguarding experience and the ability to work in a busy MASH environment.

Qualifications

• Registered clinician with NMC registration.
• Significant safeguarding children experience.
• Strong understanding of MASH processes and referral pathways.
• Experience analysing complex safeguarding information for decisions.
• Experience producing safeguarding assessments, reports and strategy discussions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Children's Social Care Front Door environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the health representative within MASH and contribute to statutory safeguarding decisions.
• Gather and interpret health information from multiple providers.
• Contribute safeguarding expertise to multi‑agency meetings and strategy discussions.
• Collaborate with social care, police, education and health professionals.
• Support referral outcomes and Front Door decision-making.
• Contribute to safeguarding assessments, reports and case discussions.
• Support quality assurance and safeguarding process improvements.
• Provide advice on safeguarding policies and best practice.
