Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust in Basildon invites applications for a part-time Band 7 Children and Young Person's Safeguarding Nurse to join the safeguarding team at Basildon Hospital. You will support the Safeguarding Associate Director, provide expert safeguarding guidance, deliver staff training, and contribute to policy development and interagency safeguarding plans.

The role requires an NMC pin, prior safeguarding experience, and a proactive approach to multidisciplinary risk

Qualifications

• NMC Pin is required.
• Recognised teaching qualification or experience of delivering training.
• Extensive experience managing child protection and safeguarding cases involving children/young people and unborn babies.
• Knowledge of local and national child protection procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide training and supervision to staff on safeguarding of children and unborn babies.
• Assist in planning and deliver staff training on safeguarding.
• Participate in policy development across safeguarding aspects and implement guidance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to safeguard children and unborn babies.
