Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Band 7 Children and Young Persons Safeguarding Nurse to join the safeguarding team at Basildon Hospital. You will provide expert safeguarding advice, supervise staff, and deliver training on safeguarding children and unborn babies.

You will work with multi‑agency partners to ensure safe, effective risk assessment and safeguarding plans across three hospital sites.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is mandatory.
• Teaching qualification or proven experience delivering training is required.
• Extensive experience managing child protection and safeguarding cases.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert safeguarding guidance to staff and external partners.
• Deliver safeguarding training and contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Lead multidisciplinary risk assessment and safeguarding plans for children and unborn babies.
• Support policy development and implementation of safeguarding practices across services.
