Job summary

Proton Drive is seeking an experienced Rust Engineer to design and maintain core components powering Proton Drive across backend and client applications. You will collaborate with backend API, web frontend, and mobile teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

We value 5+ years in Rust, strong concurrency and ownership skills, and experience building libraries for web and mobile. Proficiency with Git and secure coding practices is essential; offices in London support hybrid

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Rust.
Strong expertise in Rust language features, concurrency, and ownership model.
Experience in web and/or mobile development, building libraries for web/mobile apps.
Proven ability to collaborate in a team and communicate effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and secure coding practices.
Proficient in Git or similar version control systems.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain components powering Proton Drive.
Collaborate with backend API, web frontend, and mobile developers to ensure seamless integration.
Ensure performance and correctness across client applications (desktop and mobile).
Contribute to architecture decisions and secure-by-design practices.
