Job summary

Ticketmaster is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Rust) to design, build, and operate robust backend services from production-ready code. You will own components end-to-end, modernize legacy systems, and partner with product, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliability and scalability in a remote UK setting.

Qualifications

• Production Rust experience with shipping, operating, debugging Rust services.
• Strong backend experience: APIs, distributed systems, data-heavy workloads.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and reliability; production readiness.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production backend services using Rust.
• Own components from design through deployment, observability, and maintenance.
• Modernize systems incrementally while preserving reliability and business continuity.
• Write clean, production-grade code with emphasis on testing and performance.
• Debug complex production and pre-production issues across services and data flows.
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, and data models for maintainability.
• Improve deployment workflows, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable capabilities.
