Job summary

Reactive Markets Limited is seeking a senior frontend engineer to build the trading platform across the stack, using TypeScript and Rust. You’ll work on trader-facing interfaces and the services behind them, with ownership from design through production.

You’ll join a small, senior team focused on high-performance systems, with remote-friendly, UK-based setup and opportunities for mentorship and impact across the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering ability with deep TypeScript / JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid experience with React and reactive state management (Rx, MobX)
• Real working ability in Rust — essential for our stack
• Strong grasp of distributed systems, API design, and real-time data
• Comfortable reasoning about architecture and trade-offs
• Python for scripting, automation, and tooling is a bonus
• Git and Linux fundamentals
• Experience in financial services or trading tech is a plus but not essential

Responsibilities

• Develop complex full-stack features in TypeScript and Rust across trader-facing interfaces and services
• Handle real-time market-data presentation and low-latency code
• Work with React and reactive state management for demanding trading interfaces
• Contribute to REST, WebSockets, and network protocol implementations
• Involve in architecture discussions and technical trade-offs
• Provide observability, dashboards, alerts, and production monitoring
• Contribute to production incident response and on-call support
