Opus Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Ruby and AI Platform to join their AI Events team. This role focuses on building event-driven systems that enable automated AI workflows across the software development lifecycle.

You'll collaborate with engineering, product and design to deliver scalable, high-availability systems with Ruby on Rails at the core, working on LLMs and AI agents within a distributed, remote-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Ruby and Ruby on Rails expertise in large production monoliths.
• Experience designing and maintaining high-throughput, high-availability systems.
• Track record building user-facing products with LLMs and AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop trigger systems connecting GitLab events to AI-powered workflows.
• Create and maintain integrations with Jira, Jenkins, and Slack for automation.
• Contribute to the core event platform enabling AI features to schedule workflows.
• Architect scalable, highly available systems handling large event volumes.
• Maintain and enhance production functionality within a Ruby on Rails monolith.
• Propose iterative solutions influencing product and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and AI platform teams to expand triggers.
• Participate in Tier 2/3 on-call rotations, addressing production issues and security.
